Learn more about Kongo’s visit to Mission Trails, one of the largest urban parks in the United States. A thousand years before Father Junipero Serra arrived at San Diego Bay, the Kumeyaay indians inhabited the region.  Mission Trails Park, gives visitors an insight into what the country was like during that period.

Admission to the park is free and it is open year round.  There are over 40 miles of hiking trails on its 6,000 acres that range from fairly rugged up and down mountains to paved roads for bikes, strollers, and skaters.

Kongo takes a break in a yucca plant.  Watch out for those sharp points!

The park offers many free activities such as holistic exercises as shown below and free concerts and educational series in the amphitheater at the Visitor Center.

There are plenty of things to do on the rails without venturing off.  Monkey’s need to pay attention to the signs.
