A Morning in Balboa Park
A few weeks ago, Kongo spent a typical winter day in San Diego in Balboa Park. (A typical winter day is 72 degrees and sunshine). A couple of photographs from his few hours in one of the jewels of America’s finest city.

Babysitting
Last month Kongo and Mrs. Kongo had a task most grandparents love — babysitting their two granddaughters while mom and dad relaxed in Las Vegas. Here are a few pictures from an outing to a local park in Los Angeles. Every monkey likes to show off their grandchildren and Kongo is no exception!
Shooting Pelicans And Other Fun Things
Living in a destination city like San Diego means there’s never a shortage of things to do. Today, Kongo and his troop headed out to Cabrillo National Monument in the Point Loma area of San Diego.
Monkey Business
Kongo’s growing monkey troop now consists of Missy (the one with the sultry eyes), a red and white chimp named Valentine (go figure), and a moody mandrill named Cheeks. Kongo is the leader, of course, since he’s the monkey that started it all and after all, he has the wings!
