Kongo flew into Dulles Airport yesterday and spied the space shuttle Discovery still mated to the 747 that brought it here for the Air and Space Museum. Kind of a grainy picture but it was still cool to see.
Update: One of my co-workers informed me that the shuttle parked on the Dulles runway was actually the Enterprise which is being prepped to fly to New York for display aboard the Intrepid Museum this summer. Weather permitting, it’s set to take off Friday morning. The shuttle Discovery, which arrived at Dulles last week, is now in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum complex adjacent to IAD.

Flown to you from the Space Center near us in Florida. What an incredible piece of history!
They did a low level fly by last week but I missed it. It was great to see it still on the runway.
