In the tiny Austrian village of Dürnstein Kongo marveled at the profusion and beauty of window boxes. Almost every home wears these colorful floral decorations. They created a happy, welcoming atmosphere which made visitors feel at home. Very classy.
Dürnstein is located in the Wachau Valley district of lower Austria next to the River Danube. The region is known for its wines and famous castle ruins perched above the village and the scene where Richard the Lionheart was held captive here in 1192 by the Duke of Austria over differences after the Third Crusade.

Everytime I see these posts it makes me laugh because I have a stuffed Koala bear that I’ve had since before I was born and I write journals for him wherever he travels with me, so I might have to start a blog for him too! LOL! Love this.
Having an animal perspective when blogging gives you a whole new outlook on the world. I encourage that little bear to get busy. She can say and do things you never would…like sit in a window box, for example.
