In the historic Lypsky district of Kiev, across the street from the presidential offices, sits one of the most unusual buildings Kongo has ever laid his monkey eyes on. It is known as the “House with Chimaeras.” Built in 1901, this Art Nouveau structure has been used as a residence for the original builder, it has been used as an apartment building, government offices, communist party offices, and since it’s restoration in 2005 is now used for official meetings and diplomatic gatherings by the President of Ukraine.
The house is within the presidential compound but is generally open so visitors can view it from the outside. Special tours can be arranged if you have the time and pull to swing something with the president’s office.
The photos below show the the presidential office complex.
