La Jolla Sunset

_MG_0288After waiting for weeks to have the time and a clear horizon, the monkey finally got his chance for an evening photo shoot at the beach last night.  The light was great.  The air was warm.  A perfect San Diego evening.  The following images were some of his favorites.

Kongo wasn’t the only one that thought this was a good place to take photos

Oh yeah!

Of course, a sunset photo shoot means a late dinner.  Kongo grilled fresh halibut at 9, topped off with a wedge of lettuce, blue cheese dressing, and ice cold vodka!  Perfect ending for a nice day.

Travel safe.  Have fun.

  1. Nice series Kongo. Lucky you. The past half dozen or so time I have been out to La Jolla I have had to deal with the marine layer. Yesterday I went to shoot the Coronado Bridge (stay tuned for this shot on my blog later this week) but maybe I should have tried the coast to get some sunset shots I have been craving. Also, I don’t know where you got your halibut, but I recommend El Pescador on Pearl in La Jolla.

    1. Thanks, Mark. I’m looking forward to your images of the Coronado Bay Bridge and where you shot it from. I got the halibut at Iowa Farms in Grantville, only a few miles from our place in Del Cerro. They have great fresh, fresh fish and super meat. Nice wine selection too. I’ll keep the La Jolla places in mind for future reference.
