While waiting for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, Kongo and his granddaughters took a picnic lunch over to Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills to do a photo shoot.  The girls wore their blue Christmas dresses they picked out themselves and raced off to explore the old western movie set while Kongo followed along and tried to get them to pause long enough to snap a couple of pictures.  It was a great lesson in the patience you have to learn if you want to photograph young children.

Paramount Ranch was built in the 1920s and dozens of movies were filmed here over the years.  The National Park Service bought the ranch in 1980 (there’s got to be a story there) and maintains it today.  The site is a popular place for photographers and the monkey had to work around several groups working family photo shoots, engagement pictures, and others just trying to catch a bit of the Wild West in LA.   The ranch is a great venue so if you’re in the Los Angeles area and want to find a great spot for some photography, check it out!  More information about Paramount Ranch can be found here.
