Kongo just finished a week in the Galapagos Islands aboard the Celebrity Expedition. This was a fantastic trip and the animals were over the top. The monkey got up close and personal with boobies, land and marine iguanas, giant tortoises, mating albatross birds, sea lions, lava lizards, flamingos, Sally Lightfoot Crabs, and a bunch of other natural wonders that will be documented in future posts.
These photos are just a teaser for future posts. There were sea turtles, flightless cormorants, blue footed boobies doing mating dances, an albatross on an egg, hawks, and scads of other great stories.
The monkey is resting back in Quito, Ecuador and will head home tomorrow at midnight. While the Galapagos was an unforgettable experience, it is nice to be back where the internet doesn’t take five minutes to load a single page.
