After spending some time with the Sumatran Tigers yesterday, Kongo found this East African Crowned Crane at San Diego’s Safari Park.  This bird was all decked out for the holidays with an impressive crown, Christmas red wattle, and a fuzzy little beret that seemed to come straight from 5th Avenue.

This view of the crane looked like fireworks exploding in a night sky.

This bird pose reminds Kongo of Greta Garbo with a slinky, smoky, “hey, big boy” kind of meme.  I love her sexy eyes.

Here the crane offers up the “Who me?” look.

All in all, this was a very photogenic bird who seemed to like the monkey and obliged him with several nice poses.
