One of Kongo’s favorite spots and a great place to take pictures of flowers is the Botanical Building in San Diego’s Balboa Park. On a sunny Saturday before Mother’s Day the monkey spent some time browsing and fighting off other photographers for the best views of the orchids and other flowers in bloom. The Japanese Friendship Garden, San-Kei-En, represents a bond of friendship between the peoples of San Diego and Yokohama. Situated in Balboa Park in San Diego, the garden was named after the San-Kei-En Garden in Yokohama.
