Kongo returned from Europe in time to accompany #1 Granddaughter (the cutie with the Kauai ball cap) on the year’s first field trip of fourth grade. Faithful readers will recall that last year the monkey could often be found chaperoning his two California granddaughters on field trips to the wilderness, zoos, and historic sites in the area. Now that he’s in FOURTH GRADE Kongo is stepping it up to a whole new level!
Kongo visited the Santa Barbara Zoo last Friday as part of a first grade field trip. The monkey has been a regular field tripper this year as he helped chaperone granddaughters and their classes all over the area. This excursion was the last one of this school year. (long sigh….)
Number 2 granddaughter flashes a less than toothsome smile with two close friends during a field trip to Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks, California. Kongo recently tagged along with her first grade class to explore the outdoors and get a nature infusion.
