This week’s travel theme is “new” and what better way to start the New Year than with four new monkeys that joined Kongo’s troop Christmas Day? So Kongo spent a few hours hanging out with a friendly troop of Capuchin monkeys at the San Diego Zoo today (literally, as you can see from the photo above). The monkeys were particularly active and several were grooming each other but a few weren’t having any of that. Kongo is fortunate to live in San Diego, California. Not only is the weather about as close to perfect as you can get (average temperature is 72 degrees) but the city is graced with mountains, canyons, spectacular beaches, and world class attractions like the San Diego Zoo. As a member of the Zoological Society of San Diego Kongo can visit his friends at the zoo anytime he wants so today he headed out to see what was happening with his cousins and animal friends.
