If you haven’t visited the new Tiger Trails exhibit at San Diego’s Safari Park you’re missing out. Big time. Kongo spent three hours big game hunting there yesterday and came back with some trophy images.

San Juan Capistrano
On the way home from Thanksgiving in Los Angeles, the monkey and Mrs. Kongo were breezing along Friday morning, well ahead of schedule, and decided to make a stop for lunch and a little exploring in San Juan Capistrano. While there they visited the mission.
Peerless Pier
There’s something about piers. If there is one on a beach it becomes a destination. Those who like to walk on beaches (remember those old profiles in lonely hearts columns…”I like long walks on the beach…”) seem to always gravitate toward pilings that stretch out over the water. Kongo likes piers too.
Monkey Gobble
So, you have to give it to Mrs. Kongo. She has a creative mind and during the holiday season she kinda goes a little bit crazy. Like when she saw the original vegetable turkey platter on a Pinterest post, printed it out, planted in on the kitchen counter a few days ago and boldly announced: “I’m going to make this!”
Kongo barely looked up from watching yet another legal analysis of grand jury proceedings gone awry in Missouri and said, “that’s nice.”
Parkma
Parkma is a made up word invented by Mrs. Kongo to describe her uncanny ability to always find a good parking place in lots that are otherwise completely full. To Kongo, the word also describes the fun things to do at San Diego’s wonderful Balboa Park.
