This inviting spot at San Diego’s Safari Park is located in the World Gardens section of the zoo. It’s far away from the crowds and tourist monkeys scampering all over the more popular attractions and Kongo likes to sit on a little bench under a big pine tree there and listen to the birds. He thinks this is a good image to add to Ailsa’s “Inviting” travel theme this week.
These two steely-eyed young women turned out to be pretty amazing at picking winners during a trip to the horse races at Del Mar. The two grand girls are visiting for a week while Mom and Dad are relaxing on a much-needed adult getaway so Kongo got to play. Mrs. Kongo provided the fashion accessories.
Gorillas are naturally one of Kongo’s favorites when he visits a zoo and today he spent some time with this gorilla family at the San Diego Safari Park in Escondido, California. Continue reading “Gorillas at Home”
Kongo got a new lens over the weekend and went to the zoo today to try it out. It looks like a keeper! The monkey never gets tired of going to the San Diego Zoo and hopes his gentle readers don’t get bored either. Mrs. Kongo just rolls her eyes and says, “Zoo AGAIN?!” Enjoy.
