Marine Iguanas

Found only on the Galapagos Islands, the marine iguana is a fierce-looking marine reptile but in fact these gentle creatures wouldn’t hurt a fly.  Their diet consists entirely of algae and seaweed.  Each island in the Galapagos has a slightly different species of lizard and their coloring changes depending upon which island you happen to visit.

Celebrity Xpedition Galapagos Cruise Review

Galapagos!

Kongo just finished a week in the Galapagos Islands aboard the Celebrity Expedition. This was a fantastic trip and the animals were over the top.  The monkey got up close and personal with boobies, land and marine iguanas, giant tortoises, mating albatross birds, sea lions, lava lizards, flamingos, Sally Lightfoot Crabs, and a bunch of other natural wonders that will be documented in future posts.
